Libra Annular Solar Eclipse – Major Reset as a doorway opens!

Eclipses are endings and beginnings. They open up as well as close doorways. The current Libra Solar Eclipse will take place on 15th October 2023 at 21º7’ 4.55am Sydney (AEST).

Eclipse in the sign of Libra, brings the attention to the ‘other’, including relationships and partnerships. Libra being an ‘Air sign’, going to influence self expression, communication, ideas and speaking. Important conversations and discussions likely take place discussing partnerships. Everything being ‘up in the air’ can bring surprises leading to significant change in the coming years regarding occupation and status.

One way to think about the Annular Solar Eclipse in Libra is that it’s kind of an opening to a new chapter in our lives. Change comes with a major impact! The symbol of a scale, highlighting relationships and communications brings in ‘The strategist’ who reveals our objectives. We are thinking with more reason and less emotion. We want to balance the power and we want justice. Encouraging to leave something behind, can elevate our lives to a new level. Still, it’s important to reflect, what exactly are we leaving behind?

In the sign of Libra, there is tendency to ‘people please’ and we are definitely leaving that behind. Some things in our lives have to go. Fated occurrences are likely, so pay attention to what’s leaving, to help actualise highest potential.

Giving direction to where one’s going, must happen in order to move towards the desired outcome. A well formed question can reveal so much, bringing with it an opportunity to open to something new! Just imagine how life could change by doing so?

At this time the Sun and Moon together with Neptune and Uranus forms a “Yod” – indicating forming new partnerships. The New Moon also opposing the North Node, highlighting new realisations about ourselves, changing the dynamic how we interact with others. Sudden unexpected events may compel us to take a deeper look within ourselves as well as the people in our lives who we are interacting with. Are they working out well for for us? Old habits or relationships that outlived their purpose must go! Things need to change.

The shift is palpable as the eclipse is so close to the South Node. Of course, so much depends on which house this eclipse falls in in our chart and whether we have any natal planets there. Stepping into the life we want to live encourages a different perspective. What are we going to let go? What are we not going to let happen any more?

A conscious reflection on where one is currently in their life and where they wish to go, can help in co-creating the future purposefully. As the Nodes are in the Aries-Libra axis, the emphasis is on “Who am I – and – Wo are we together?” – Is our relationship mutually beneficial to the both of us? It’s the time to think about, who we are and what do we genuinely want! Once that’s clarified, the choice is in our hands what to do about it?

The Solar Eclipse in Libra is ruled by Venus. Values within partnerships are changing. One may bravely go against ‘rules’ that were in place before. As the New Moon opposing Chiron, an ‘old wound’ may open up making one to face with it again. Mars moved into Scorpio a few days ago wanting the truth, encouraging to be true to ourselves and be willing to look anyone straight in the eye! Standing by our needs, courage is necessary and Mercury opposing Chiron is ready to talk about anything that is confronting. Tension, excitement and intensity are all coming in with great force in the coming week.

Uranus irritated by this Eclipse. Everything is up in the air as mentioned before. Likely facing something that is annoying, one must think outside the box, to find solution. Fortunately Mars and Saturn’s alignment at this time brings in willingness to deal with what’s difficult helping to cope with the demands that the current energies are presenting.
