Leo New Moon – It’s all about what we want!

Leo New Moon here we go on 16 August 2023 at 23º17’ 7.39pm Sydney (AEST). The perfect time to set our intention around our creativity, self worth and the confidence necessary to be able to take centre stage in our lives. Allowing to be seen for who we really are and expressing our unique talent, whatever it may be. Leo energy is the one that likes to put on the show, to be on the stage and hold people’s attention. We all have the Leo energy in our chart and that’s the area where we live large and let our hair down! 

As Venus also joins with this Leo New Moon we may be questioning if we are living in our own values or if we are living with values that others have placed upon us? These questions may arise in our psyche as we dig down to re-evaluate where we are in our lives. Lot of my clients right now going through turbulent times as their lives are changing in unexpected ways…. so as they are experiencing tension, questioning their direction and even their own intentions, I asked them: Where are they holding themselves back?

What is important to remember, is that we need excitement and good times to live a happy life. So if excitement is lacking or if the joy is diminishing, we must take notice and re-evaluate our lives and the direction we are heading. We have a choice how we respond to events in our lives and re-vision our path if there are not enough “juice” flowing in. 

As Mars and Uranus is dancing in harmony with each other around this Leo New Moon, we will crave for excitement and probably feel a desire for inner growth. To feel alive, we may want to brake away from boring routine and look toward starting something new. We wish to be liberated from obligations and want to take down barriers that stop us living our lives with joy. Our willpower gets tested as we drill down into the details of executing our plans. 

Uranus is driving the Leo New Moon to do something! We may feel suddenly rebellious and create the unexpected. The best use of this energy is to do it with our conscious intention, rather than allow unexpected situation to disrupt our lives.

Chiron also steps into the dance with the Leo New Moon awakening our potential for a deep transition that we experience individually as well as collectively. We may suddenly feel empowered to awaken our potential to experience a Breakthrough. Something is ready to snap and Chiron helps us to reveal perhaps where that is. Something within us needs healing, a release of energy that liberates us from holding onto what was. A re-orientation of our energy may help to fulfil our values. We may not get everything right, but what we learn on our journey may turn out to be more important than the destination. 

Most of us aim for big highs and big moments, but that cannot be achieved without climbing the mountains while also remembering that each steps toward the top is a step higher than our last. Chiron being in the sign of Aries supporting the Leo New Moon (both in a fire sign) increases the heat. Our passion rise up and then comes Uranus colliding its unpredictability and electricity to shake things up! We are urged to evolve, to grow, to learn, to expand. We want our fighting spirit to wake us up, to bring us alive, to make us transform and dream of the next step to live our life with more excitement and verve.

So paying attention to astrology brings self awareness and tuning in to the timing of events in our lives. Allowing to be seen for who we are and if need be to  able to re- direct our lives when the stars are aligned for us.
